As a musician, and parent, I have seen the benefits of music in the lives of all three of my children. I would love be able to share this with others, so I am now a certified MusikMakers educator!
MusikMakers is an early childhood music programme written in Australia, where children can have fun and learn about music in a group setting.
Research shows that children of all ages can benefit from regular musical activity in the following areas:
- speech
- concentration
- cooperation with others in a group setting
- spatial awareness
- mathematical concepts
On each Monday from June 16th 2012 (during school terms), I’ll be teaching the Adventurer Programme, which is designed for children aged from 18 months old up to 3 years old. This will take place on the northside of Brisbane at
Sandgate Scout Hall
134 Brighton Road, Sandgate (map shown below)
9.45am until 10.30am.
